Retainer Bearing with Circlip, Dense Ball Type

PFC-1 is a high-strength composite material. It is based on a thermosetting phenolic resin and reinforced with high-quality cotton fabric. It is hot-formed under specific temperature and pressure. This material offers high load-bearing capacity, good temperature resistance, excellent wear resistance, and stable dimensional stability.

It is suitable for:

  • Guide rings and support rings in hydraulic cylinders

  • Bushings for the pivot axles of engineering machinery and vehicles

  • Thrust washers

  • Guide sleeves for columns of hydraulic machinery and forging presses

Bearing Installation and Arrangement

Design of Bearing Arrangement

Cylindrical Bushes
The housing bore should have a chamfer f×20±5°. The chamfer makes it easier to press the bushes into the housing.

Housing Bore Diameter (d) [mm]Chamfer of Housing (f)
d ≤ 300.8±0.3 × 20°±5°
30 < d ≤ 801.2±0.4 × 20°±5°
80 < d ≤ 1801.8±0.8 × 20°±5°
d > 1802.5±1.0 × 20°±5°

Flange Bushes
The radius at the transition from the radial to the axial component must be taken into consideration for flange bushes. A sufficiently large chamfer must be provided on the housing to prevent the flanged bushes from fouling in the area of the radius. Sufficient support must be provided for the flange in applications with axial loading.

Housing Bore Diameter (d) [mm]Chamfer of Housing (f)
d ≤ 101.2±0.2 × 45°±5°
d > 101.7±0.2 × 45°±5°

The Installation of the Sliding Bushing and the Housing
When installing the sliding bushing and the housing, ensure that the bushing does not rotate or move axially within the housing bore. The outer surface of the bushing must have full contact with the housing bore; generally, the contact area should be greater than 85%. This is beneficial for bearing loads and conducting frictional heat. A light interference fit is typically used. This must ensure that the bushing does not move relative to the housing bore during use, while also preventing excessive interference on the bushing’s outside diameter from causing significant deformation of the inner bore. To facilitate installation, a small amount of oil or grease should be applied to both the inner and outer surfaces of the bushing before it is pressed evenly into place.
